She is Here! She came on the 30th of January and weighed 6.5 lbs, was 19 inches long! The delivery was a dream and we are so happy to have her here. Even Morgan loves her!

I know you all have been just dying to see more pictures of Morgan and so here are some more! Starting with the oldest ones first, and then working up to the most recent.

Have you heard that at least one day it actually snowed here in January? Amazing I know. It was enough for Bryan to make a quick snowman for Morgan to see (she loves the ones that she sees in books...) before it began to rain and melt all the snow... We sang lots of "once there was a snowman" songs with all the actions. She does them pretty good!

I must tell you that the next morning most of the "buttons and mouth" were missing, and when Bryan took Morgan outside to see what happened to the snowman, she got a little freaked out and wasn't liking the snowman anymore. After we were able to explain what melting was and show her that the snowman was just fine, she became fascinated with watching his "small, small, small" process take over. So funny!

Morgan likes to stack up her blocks. I showed her that she can also stack other things on top of her blocks... like the rubber ducky you see on the table. Amazingly enough she can do it pretty regularly! She will take the tall skinny orange tubular blocks, stand them up on end and then put a Duck on top of them. I was impressed!

Here are just some fun ones that we randomly take when we can. Never too many pictures of us all right? right. I thought so too.

Morgan is a great Kitchen Helper especially when it comes to making cookies... the kind with chocolate chips in them! They are her favorite! Cuter still is the fact that she enjoys playing in the soapy water even more and I have a harder time distracting her from that then I do not getting her to eat all of the chocolate chips before I can get them into the dough! We love our little helper!

TJ and Lauretta were able to come and visit this past week and it was SO FUN! Morgan started playing a little game with TJ where they would copy each others actions... mostly pretending to be asleep. The first one to "be asleep" would then need a kiss on the head to "wake up!" and then they would race to another position. So cute and fun to watch!

Here are the pictures of Morgan's cast. This is actually the "soft" one that we went in on the 26th to have removed and then a hard one to be put on. Luckily because babies bones heal so quickly and the fact that her break is hairline and shouldn't move around at all in the cast, she only has to have it on for 3 weeks! Yay! That means that bath time will only be in the kitchen sink for 3 weeks instead of 6. Awesome huh? Bath-time now is a definite two person job now. One is the cast duty and the other is the scrubber up duty. Its pretty fun though.

As you can see she is still a pretty happy girl for the most part. (she is in this undressed state right before a bath... so please don't think that she just runs around naked all the time... she doesn't... She still keeps on her clothes... but I may have just spoken too soon. Yikes!

I love pictures. I love it when your baby begins to understand picture games! So I would click on the "take picture button" and they would have 3 seconds to touch/grab what I would tell them too and they had some fun with it! Here are some of the shots!

Famine or Feast...

Hello Family and Friends! It is so amazing to us here at the Hansen Home that when there is a moment of calm... i.e. we were only getting ready to have another brand new baby in the house, finish up wooden furniture projects, and prep our Morgan for not being the baby of the family, trying to figure out why she is having a super hard time with naps and bedtime, fulfill our callings in church, focusing on creating better habits as a couple as well as personally, figuring out what to do with our house on Tucker... and all our things that are still there, (yes the list could go on for the rest of this post but I will resist..*wink) ... Mainly... nothing drastic, super emotional, or hard to take has happened in a while... and then BAM! It comes like lightning.

The cool things are that this week we have gotten the pleasure of having Lauretta and TJ come and visit us for this week, and then Lindsey will be coming up this weekend to say hello! We get to see our kids and that is exciting! Yay!

So on Monday Lauretta and TJ get here in pretty good time, and we are visiting and enjoying each others company when bam.... Morgan hits the floor. That isn't anything unusual. She does that all the time. She cried about it this time which was unusual but after the initial cry being over she was just a little whiney, and would tell us that her arm hurt. Bryan and I had heard a "pop" when she fell... sounded similar to someone popping their knuckles. So we have definitely checked out her arm by now and feel a swelling bump... makes us both a little nervous... but then she was acting only a little whiney. So we decided to let her sleep on it and we would see if she slept ok through the night and how things were in the morning.

She slept all night, but woke up crying and telling me that her arm hurt. We got her into the hospital by 11 and vwalla. A hairline break right in the middle of her left ulna (the bone that connects to your pinkie and elbow if you were wondering). She was lucky that it wasn't on a growth plate, or more of a joint thing.

So she was given a soft cast to go home in, and tomorrow we get to go get a hard cast to be kept on for 6-8 weeks. I am excited to draw cute animals on it so that she has something to be happy about with it.

I was joking with Bryan about my water breaking while we were waiting there in the emergency room with Morgan. Broken arm... broken water... haha... he didn't laugh very hard. Sad day it didn't happen... but Maybe soon... after morgan's hard cast is on would be best... so if I could just put my order in...

ya think it would work?

I will post some pictures when her hard cast is on and things aren't quite so busy with company coming and going.

Our Little Chef!

For Christmas, we were so thrilled to get this super cute mini-rolling pin and other baking dishes for Morgan to help cook with Mommy... and here is how great it turned out to be...

I have been sticking to a menu to save my sanity every evening, as well as our budget! So far it has worked beautifully! Planning meals ahead of time is one of the smartest things a mom can do! Its great how smooth the evenings can go compared to the chaos that can be a reality every night!

So for dinner we planned to have Scones! Morgan got to help roll them out and taste test the dough! (this is wheat dough so I didn't get to taste test this one.. but Morgan kept wanting more so that was a good sign that it was still yummy!)

Morgan is going to be an exceptionally great cook because she doesn't worry about making a mess or not... wether it happens to be on her or not! I had so much fun cooking with her and Dad had a ton of fun documenting the event! She was a complete doll!

Morgan is also very much into movies and looking intently at the pictures on the cover. I have organized our movies and have decided that keeping this cupboard organized...

is a little ridiculous.

She is really good about not getting the movies out and playing with them... she just loves looking at the pictures. She does the same thing to all of our children's books in the bookcase that we have set up.

Morgan is one that has quite the habit of interesting positions to fall asleep in. We usually are checking her 2-4 times before we go to bed just to make sure that she is safely in bed... and not halfway off, or feet stuck down the crack, or other limb numbing positions.

So once in a while she will be flash attacked in her sleep so that we can document this interesting development of hers. And because she is the cutest thing EVER! Goodness how we love this girl!

So this post is mainly about our little girl, but other then our boring selves it is so much more exciting to update everyone about our smallest... but here is some updating info for Bryan and I.

Bryan has been working at home these last 1.5 weeks on a safety program for the company that he works for. I am so proud of him! He has had to research so much and then condense it to more of a useable size. It is like taking the ocean and putting most of its aspects into a simple sewing thimble. Amazing huh? I think he is. (sappy I know!!!)

I am counting down the sundays I have left of being the largest pregnant lady in our ward... and I ONLY HAVE FOUR SUNDAYS LEFT! Oh the excitement! I am trying to prepare Morgan for a sibling... and find a soft baby doll for us to take home from the hospital for her. I am also planning on finding those cool magic bottles where there is the illusion of the baby drinking the milk or juice. I think I have found them at the Dollar Tree! I really hope so. I am trying to continually organize the unpacked mess... mainly our Office and our Garage. But other than that it is the basic,... cook, laundry, clean-up, color with morgan, go on walks (in this amazing weather that we are having... blue skies.. sunshine... and jacket warm outside....), fight the cold that Morgan and I have had way too long, Struggle with getting Morgan down for anything that resembles closing your eyes and not moving... and then trying to find things to entertain and teach Morgan other than the movies... Bambi... Tangled... Jesus videos... and Winnie the pooh. I am not an advocate of having a square eyed little creep for a baby... So I am getting more creative as the weeks go by and it is great for all of us. (Athough, I will admit that when i do need a moment without worry or a leech... movies are so great! and I get a break. Super)

This is from when we were heading home from Weiser and Morgan was super tired and cranky! So to combat the mood, we started a flash photo attack! She was shocked into being a happy camper and it was Great!

Its Christmas Eve and Morgan was able to hold really still for me... so still that I was able to put rags into her hair! (words for wisdom... toddlers don't sleep well when they have rags in.... and then they wake up super grouchy.... not fun)

On the 27th our Kids made it home to open the things that we had gotten them, as well as to just be together! It was wonderful and we were able to do so many things!

So it hasn't snowed. Instead it was around 40 degrees and perfect weather to rake up the leaves that were still in our back yard. So that is what we did!

Grandma Wells also managed to sneak in the movie "UP" as a Christmas gift this year. I believe Morgan is going to be switching what her favorite movie is. She has loved it! What a cute Movie. We were able to get halfway through it as a family before the ride came to return to Weiser. It was such a great day!

We could not believe how green our grass was in DECEMBER!

Luke had managed to really hurt his baby toe at the Packers new home and is wearing a boot on his foot to help it out. It didn't keep him from anything though! Luke was even climbing the trees! What a trooper we have!

One of the Family Presents that Bryan and I made this year was the game Ladder Golf... thank you Thad and Andrea for the awesome introduction!.. I didn't manage to get pictures of us playing but it was a ton of fun!

Morgan was waking up from her nap...

I found some more clothes and did a baby clothes switch... Here is one of the cutest sweaters! love it !

We have survived this month and are excited to begin another year with motivating goals and renewed hope!

Hello! its been a long and eventful month or so since my last posting, and so much has happened! The biggest is that our Daughter #2 Lindsey Kate now is sporting a beautiful ring and a new last name! She is now delighted to be known as Mrs. Lindsey Kate Williams and is supremely happy, as is Tyrel her groom. (who I have recently come to understand is named after the Luis La'Mor character Tyrel Sackett... of which his Father is a huge fan! Super fun!)
They are back in Rexburg, job hunting, and living in a house where they have the top floor and their neighbors are renting the bottom. It is going to be great for them! We won't be seeing either of our married daughters or son-in-laws for Christmas this year which will be completely different, but it was soo good to see them so much over this past month. We were delighted to have them stay with us while they were in town. It was so much fun!

The weekend before the eastern Idaho wedding trips began, Bryan and I decided that if we were going to move it had better happen! So within 1.5 weeks the main house was packed, and within 2 days everything from the house was moved into a rental home in Caldwell. It is a lovely home that has carpet and it has been extremely entertaining to notice how much more content Morgan Piper is in this home than the previous. We still have some sorting and hauling to do in the old place but are completely enjoying the benefits of living in town.

Morgan especially enjoys the Library, and the walks around the neighborhood. There is even a small pasture where a momma cow and her little calf are. On a walk we stopped and watched them for a second and she was thrilled. She gets really excited over animals, Bambi, movies about Jesus, Grandma, apple juice, going anywhere outside, but most of all BOOKS! I think that i have a reader and it makes me happy! She loves saying, "One... Two... THREE!" It is really cute. Luke taught her that on one of our little trips to eastern Idaho and she now does it a lot. On the count of three she usually is dropping something and is thinking that it is the funniest thing that happens when it falls on the ground. Love it!

We are so excited to welcome this new little one in person. We have 8 sundays to go, and I am completely counting! Movements are becoming quite strong, and oh so often. This little guy is extremely active and it will be so fun to see him and get to know his personality in a few weeks.

Currently we are working on a ton of things that I hope to get all done! Bryan is trying to take the pickup into greenleaf for work so that on his way home he brings a load of things from either our barn, garage, or both. So we have been trying to sort through our garage as it is filling up. Christmas is not quite up yet, our tree is, but not any lights or decor... that may be a project for today. We are also working on getting the house in order, unpacking, cleaning, coming up with little inventions to make small spaces completely useable, realizing that making gifts is how we are going to be able to give them this year, and to keep up with an energetic toddler!

We are hoping that Morgan will adjust well to sharing us as parents. She has had an emotional ride with us being so preoccupied with the wedding, not having a schedule, and then not being able to rely on who is going to be home with us and who is not. I really feel sorry for my little girl! Now it is more of a normal schedule.... granted its only been three days of it... but soon there will be another huge change in her life. It definitely helps that she loves babies... but I don't know if her love of babies is big enough to share her mama... or her daddy....

Its so great to know that you are possessively loved isn't it?

Some Updates!

Morgan has become a climber! She has gotten herself is some sticky situations (one of which was climbing the stairs like she is in this picture and then she was able to get into a sitting position, her legs through the rails, her hands holding on for dear life, and then she couldn't get back up! She was able to get our attention though before her arms gave out.... she was on the 3rd stair up and was very nervous about her position! .... so common sense might show a glimpse after a relapse of daring stupidity! (which is true for us all perhaps!)

Morgan has also become a great helper! She loves to sweep and scrub things with a washcloth. If Mommy is cleaning then she wants to do exactly what mommy is. What a great helper!

Luke was in Football this year! He did so great and we are sooo proud of him. He loved every minute of it! They were so close to winning the last game of the season but alas they ran out of time. Luke is a great sport when it comes to enjoying the game wether or not winning is the result. We love you Luke!

Lindsey is ENGAGED! To a really great guy named Tyrel Williams. He is from Rexburg, ID and plans to be a Fish and Game warden? or working somewhere in that type of field. They make a very cute couple. We are excited and scrambling to get everything ready in time for the 3rd of this december! 37 days away! Wow! That is so exciting!

I have discovered through my mother that Morgan has inherited my sleeping habits as a little kid. Apparently I was just as crazy as she is when she is trying to get in a comfy position to be able to fall asleep. Sleeping with Morgan in the same bed is impossible as she becomes the worlds quickest acrobat with no sense of bed edge boundaries. Its super crazy and we are hoping that she adjusts to sleeping in a toddler bed ok. This was such a funny way to find her one evening and I had to get proof of it to show her later when she is old enough to laugh at it just as much as we have!

I have discovered morgan beginning to actually play with her toys in ways that she is playing that they are interacting with each other! It is the cutest thing to watch, and it doesn't happen very often, so here are a couple pictures of it!

Morgan has had a bad rash, and at one point, she was watching the 101 Dalmatians while I was in another room and heard her distressing noises during a part of the movie where cruella is being the villain, and then she quieted down. Well the movie got over and i didn't hear much from her and went to find her. I found her standing up on the couch with this very telling aroma hovering about her... She was sore enough that she didn't want to sit, let alone walk. She was stuck standing up on the couch facing the wall! Poor Baby! I have had allergies due to the season changing and I haven't always caught the signs of "poopy". I quickly improvised a bubble bath and let her play for a long while. She felt so much better and had a lot of fun in the process!

Have I told you that Morgan loves books? She really really does. Story time trumps all other activities!

Bryan has been hunting a bit this season and Got this buck on his first hunting trip! We have enjoyed the meat already and have made some pretty tasty dishes thanks to his being so blessed! Way to go my fearless hunter!

Kendall was able to go with the hunting crew that first time as well! They were able to go with the Bishop, and his son Blake, and then Jordan Child and his three sons! There were a lot of 4 wheelers to play with as well!

This is a picture of another Hunting trip that Bryan, Kendall, Luke, Uncle Brian, Jarom, Breanne, Austin, and Uncle Ren were all able to get together for the day. Jarom was the only one that got a doe, which is on the back of Dot, the Packers horse. They hiked about 10 miles, saw some beautiful scenes and a lot of deer... that got away. Kendall and Jarom had a blast and a boom with shooting the guns. So thankful that no-one was hurt during all these hunting expeditions!

Kylee has had some great fun with going to a dance where the girls asked the guys. She told me that she felt like a princess and hearing that made my day. That is how girls are supposed to feel on special dates and what a great experience! I am so proud of her for the standards that she is upholding and the beauty she shows of her soul.

Lauretta and TJ are doing great. They have added a new addition to their little family and I have forgotten his name! I know! He is a puppy... or was a puppy... He isn't a very big guy but they sure love him and take very good care of him.

I was able to talk to Lauretta not to long ago and it was sure great to connect with her. They will be starting school here pretty quick and have actually just come back from a weeks vacation in Disney Land! From the pictures I have seen they had a complete blast! I am so glad that they were able to go! How fun! (If you haven't heard or seen, Lauretta has changed her hair color and it looks Fabulous! )

I sure love my family.

Favorite time of Year!!!

This is when the weather becomes perfect, the decorating imp comes to life, and a house seems to glow with warmth and coziness! It makes my soul sing when i feel as though there is a warm peace in my house and a contentment (however small) in the bearing of my husband when things settle down after our busy days.

Morgan has LOVED being allowed outside now that the mosquitos are almost all gone. (they were really thick this year and so because I abhor the little beasts, I avoid them! and I had Morgan avoid them too... I hope next year is better then this one!)

One of my Morgan's favorite animals is "kitties" and we are fortunate to have two of them. Boomer and Chon-Choe. When we began to teach her to be nice and soft to the kitties, it went pretty well! She only tried picking them up by their heads a couple of times, and hasn't pulled their fur or whiskers in quite a while! Progress! She has developed her own style of torture... that may have something to do with Kendall and his older sisters example of the "dead fish" that mysteriously appears once in a while at our house... This is what her version of it is...

Morgan absolutely adores her Daddy. She loves it when he can play with her and make her giggle like nobody else. I caught some of that action and here are the best of those shots... She is also modeling a new headband that is fun to dress up as an Indian Princess in!

It amazes me how fufilling it is to be a mom and to watch your tiny little baby grow and change as time seems to fly by. She seems so much more a little girl then my little baby as the days go by and it is so exciting yet I am understanding how it can be a sting of sorrow for an instant.

I am very excited to watch miss Morgan become a big sister. We had our 20 week ultrasound almost a month ago (and yes... we did actually keep our word and didn't find out what we are having... it is going to be a great surprise to everyone!) and here are some of the best pictures from it.

Other then that, we are busy with trying to get the Mortgage Company to reconsider their asking price of this house and property so that it can sell, getting together some plans for our daughter #2 Lindsey Kate's wedding to Tyrel Williams of Rexburg Id. (he is a decent guy that we hope to get to know better!) She is getting married on the 3 of Dec! I believe in the Idaho Falls Temple! She is so happy!

Life is forever a little crazy and extremely busy, but there are some little quiet moments that are stolen where we are able to gather our strength and fortify ourselves by just breathing in the fragrance of the blessings that are all around us. The simple things become precious to us as life becomes more complex.

I am so grateful for my family and having the chance to love so many people.

Life is good and hard. But definitely good :D

Different...

Life is different here at the Hansen Home this year. Bryan and I have known that we will be moving relatively soon and have made the decision as our kids have asked to be enrolled in the Weiser School district, and until things are a little more settled, live with our relatives that are in that area. Our relatives are more than happy to have Kendall, Kylee, and Luke stay for a school year.

This change happened two weeks or so ago and life has been different for us all! Our kids love their new school and have made a lot of good friends already. They are also able to be in grades right along with their cousins whom they have always absolutely love to be with.

Bryan, Morgan and I miss them all terribly. Morgan is thriving as toddlers do when the attention from both parents are now focused on her! She loves Tangled still and is saying so many new words. She has begun to mimmic conversation words and has been the source of our laughter many nights.

I have a fun story of Morgan and a doll that I have found in some of my old things. This doll is not a soft one... but it has a bellybutton. Morgan and I discovered all the parts of the dolls body that she has been learning. Eyes... Nose... Hair... Head... Ears... Hands.... etc. We got to the belly button and I was showing her that she had one too. She was thinking that was pretty cool. So the next evening Bryan and I were talking about something when we hear a frustrated Morgan. We look over to where she was playing with her new doll. Her frustration was that she had found her Doll's Bellybutton but because she was wearing a Onsie that day, she couldn't find her bellybutton! She was so frustrated and all her parents could do was giggle and laugh! It was the cutest thing that was solved with some quick thinking and instead was shown how the doll had some toes and so did she!

Strawberries!

This year is a great berry year, and we have gotten Strawberries! I have been able to make some freezer jam as well as simply freeze them so that they don't go bad on me! Morgan absolutely LOVES them! so we have been enjoying them to our hearts content!

Luke is taking some goofy pictures and this is one of my favorites... love the smile!

Kendall is reading Morgan her favorite book of the moment, and counting book where you count the animals.... Luke seems to be enjoying it too! I sure enjoy my family!

We went to the ending Fiddle Festival Parade in Weiser. This was Morgan's first experience and she honestly didn't really care! But, we had a ton of fun and ate some fries at Jeb's which were delicious! We also got to see the Packers and hear the updates on Lareen. Our family is so blessed.

Afterwards we all ended up at the Doty's and the kids had a lot of fun in some really cold water! It was a hot day and perfect for it though!!!

For those of you who haven't heard, the Packers are moving to Weiser! Yay! Close to home and where we all seem to gather! Now it is simply all the Hansen Men who do not live there... What a coincidence! We will have to see what the future holds! You never can know... Wink!

its all about....

FISHING!!! We planned, prepared and went on a family activity that had nothing to do with work!

Yay for us!

This is also when we told the kids about the future arrival of a new sibling! Surprise!

We went up to Man's Creek past weiser, and it was a rainy, cold-ish day... so probably a lot like what Thad and Andrea experience most everyday! a great day to fish... for the most part. Morgan had fun... she wasn't able to get down... because at this point she wasn't walking very well. She walks so much better now though! I love her cute waddle!

So... here is a great story. We also brought our canoe. After catching all those fish that you have just taken a gander at, we decided to drive to the lake where we can actually use the canoe... it has stopped drizzling and seemed to be perfect timing. We got to the lake, got the canoe off the van, and got it in the water... Kendall and Bryan got in the canoe, with the fishing supplies... and bam... downpour... Meanwhile Luke and I were fishing off the Dock... practicing our casts and reels... and we decided it was too cold! and hurried back to the van to find some snacks with Morgan and Kylee. There were these two older gents coming back from their fishing spot from the bank, and they are carrying a bucket. Well Luke asks if he can go ask them if they found a good fishing hole... Sure, whats the harm... He walks over there says Hi, and they offer him these fish!

They had been fishing since 10 am and it was roughly 3 or 4 pm... and this was their only catch! We thanked them profusely and then they went on their way, and I had luke run back down to the dock to try to trick Bryan and Kendall with them... we almost got them to believe that fish story!

dinner that night was great! We had Trout, upon Trout and they were good! Morgan even tried some and thought they were okay.

Overall it was super fun and worth all the drizzly effort that went into it.

Okay... we have been quite busy lately and I have found a moment to bring you all up to date. Here it goes!

Kendall's end of the year concert was Great! This was the last year for their teacher Mrs. Johnson. They will have a new Orchestra teacher next year and we are hoping for someone who is amazing!

This year, the ward's Father and Son's activity was held at the Hansen Cabin. Bryan came back to report that this was one of the funnest that he has been too! Yes! another success!

Kylee had a Choir Concert as well, and it turned out way fun! She also found out that SHE MADE IT INTO CHORAL! YAY!

Morgan is growing like a weed and is primarily a happy camper! This last month has been one of teething and tylenol. We have almost welcomed all four molars! a bottom one is almost all the way... but not quite there yet... She is enduring!

The weather has been crazy and too cold for my taste.. but I did love the awesome clouds...

We travelled up to Athol Idaho the first week of June for the blessing of Andrew the 5th. Colene and Andy's brand new addition. He is a cutie. Such a sweet baby. It was a blast to see everyone. Doug and Carol Kelley were there as well, and we had some major fun playing Bocce Ball and getting a touch of a sunburn. It was sweet!

KENDALL!!! and Grandpa Hansen, and Aunt Ruth!... am i forgetting anyone?

Hopefully not... but most of all.... happy birthday to Kendall!

Kendall turned 15 (which does seem a little weird because it seemed like yesterday

that he was passing the sacrament for the first time.... Wow... time flies!)

For Kendall's Birthday we had an amazing hashbrown, sausage, and egg breakfast, opened presents and then wished him a great day at school! When he got back from school (where I delivered a milkshake during the lunch hour! Yum!) we all raced over to Grandpa and Grandma Wells' for a huge BBQ where we celebrated Kendall, Aunt Ruth, and Aunt Emma's birthdays! (we celebrated Aunt Emma's simply because she was here at this time. She is returning to NC on the 21st.)

After the YUMMY BBQ we hurried home where three of Kendall's friends came over to watch the Green Hornet and have donuts and ice-cream. It was a great day full of good food and fun times.

Hmm.. there is not going to be any pictures for this post... but that is not because I don't have them! It is because I have an incredible son named Kendall who loves sneaking pictures... Which is such a great thing! I have realized through that, that i have some work on my posture! I used to be so great at sitting up straight (thanks to playing Trumpet in the band with the most amazing band teacher EVER! Mr. Davis will always have that title by the way...)

Easter!

Easter was not as spiritual as I have wanted it to be... but then it has sure been a great motivation for a good tradition! Next year it will be fun and meaningful instead of just being fun and all about the candy.

There wasn't a ton of it... candy... but there was a lot of fun! Here is some of the proof!

Instead of baskets this year the bunny left us some sweet chicks! and lots of yummy fruit for breakfast!

The kids learned all about fructose and sucrose differences while we consumed them both!

All in all it was a non stressful morning that we completely enjoyed! We then proceeded to make it to Stake Conference and got all but the opening speaker! I love it how we are being prompted to create a safe haven that is filled with love instead of the focus being on everything else that is out of the home.

We went to Bryan's home town Weiser where Tally and Caleb Doty are. It was so great! Morgan had such a fun time finding eggs, and then discovering what the rattle was...

Soon I will be able to make a good habit of simply posting something about us each week... but I haven't focused on that good habit... so I am using up all my morning free time (nap time) to get these up! So I hope you really enjoy them! Lets see if I can get them in order.

Morgan LOVES feeding herself... and has a great time with food painting!

It was so Beautiful on our way to Utah for Lauretta and TJ's Wedding!

Morgan was even able to sleep in her new carseat! It worked well!... I think she gets that face from her daddy... (don't you even mention those pictures that I destroyed of myself!)

Morgan was able to play with Brooklyn and meet Adeline who was barely a week old! We loved staying at Thad and Andrea's home. So much Fun!

Morgan loved the stair railing... and had many turns falling! She survived I am happy to report and is now much better on the stairs because of it! Phew!

Kendall and Kylee were able to go with Lauretta and TJ when they took some pre-wedding pictures on Temple Square the day before the wedding. It was a blast!

Jacob, TJ's Brother... what's his name?! and Luke got along like long lost brothers, and were only separated when parents had enough strength to drag them apart!

There was a cold breeze and silly me, forgot Morgan's Blanket! She was wrapped up tight with a donated sweater! Thank you donor!

Bryan is so happy and proud of Lauretta in her choice of a husband, and is so grateful of their decision to be married in the temple! What a huge blessing that is! We are both so happy!!!

Kiri is Lauretta's best friend from High School, and Calvin Bunn who is now Kiri's Fiance is a good friend too! It was fun to see them there!

Unfortunately I have no more wedding or reception pictures.. but will hopefully be getting them from relatives soon!

This is Kylee's night where she was recognized at the YW in Excellence Award Night! YAY!!! She worked hard for her Medallion and we are so proud of her!

It is looking like trouble is starting early! (Bryan mentioned to me that this is exactly what Lindsey used to do when she was old enough to push a chair...and climb up... How exciting life is!

Lindsey came and visited us for her break between semesters! It was soo good to see and visit with her. We miss her so much here at home. This next semester is going to be fun for her. She has three day weekends every week, but it is a good thing because all of her classes are three credit ones! So she will also be having a lot of homework. Another upside to her semester is that she has her own room! Her new roommate decided to not come so bonus for lindsey! Yippee!

I will try to get more pictures of all the other kids. I am sorry that it feels like a "morgan showcase"... Sometimes it is hard to get pictures of teens... for some reason they become allergic to it! I will try to be a little more sneaky about it!

Best news ever! Bryan has gotten a job working in a grounds keeping business owned by our Bishop! He works with great people and comes home happy yet tired everyday! We are so grateful! How blessed it is to be employed!

That is really it for now. We still are trying to sell our home and find a rental that is close by. I love the feeling of making changes to live within our income. It will be a good move for us. So much less stress.

It has been forever since I have done anything on this blog, or anything else for that matter! This week is crazy and I am posting a blog because it helps me keep my mind focused? ... I am hoping that is why I am spending time on this computer instead of getting morgan through a bath, wearing her out, and putting her to sleep for the night.

Life doesn't ever seem to slow down! Its AMAZING! The kids are each busy in their own ways, whether it is HONOR CHOIR CONCERTS!!! like Kylee, birthday parties, friends, jobs, privileges, punishments, moodiness, silliness, giddiness, but overall... I think we have some happiness going on over here in the Hansen home. Love it!

This week my two AMAZING SISTERS (oh... and I can't forget my brother in law) are visiting from North Carolina, and It has been such a treat to spend some time with them! They will be here for a couple of weeks! Yippee! Tonight we went and watched a Bruce Willis movie, and I will admit some people can pull of a bald look... He is one of them!

Bryan and I have bought a 2001 Dodge Caravan Sport, and I actually like it a lot! It is a smooth ride that is a lot less expensive to drive! We are selling our old faithful vicki... (suburban) and have put it on craigs list... we have had already 1 call and I had only put it on 20 minutes before! Talk about timing! We will se if it is sold tomorrow when This person comes to look at it.

Lindsey's Graduation from Vallivue High!

Lindsey Graduated! Ya!!! We are all proud of the effort that she put into her grades (I think I am safe to say that she was able to have all a's throughout all of High School! Amazing! ) I know that I am late about getting these posted... but they are awesome anyway and deserve to be taken note of!

The weather was perfect! So whomever ordered that up, THANK YOU!!!

We began the day with a trip to Gina's grave. One of her favorite smells is Lilacs and lucky enough we had beautiful purple ones to place at her head stone. They smelled wonderful!

We had a good experience there talking about things that the kids loved about their mom.

(Kendall is standing on his toes to be the tallest of the kids! He is getting there, but still has a little ways to go! He has grown so much!)

Shoes say a lot about a person, and I think these ones are CUTE!!!

Morgan stayed in the car. It was a little breezy for her to be sitting out there. She was content though!

There is quite the story to Morgan Piper's arrival! Her due date (March 27th) Bryan and I spent the whole day doing things like jumping - very gently mind you! - on the trampoline, going on speed walks, exercise machines, just tons of exhausting things! No lasting labor. I made Bryan, Kendall and I some amazing Nacho's for a late dinner, and then we watched a movie afterwards. While the night passed into the morning of the 28th - my Birthday - I was officially sad... and trying to make light of the 'still pregnant' situation, began saying ridiculous words thinking that maybe there was a secret password that had to be said in order for my water to break. All of a sudden, my water did break!!! It was 12:15 am. Then Bryan and I scrambled around in shock trying to make sure we 'got everything!' and ran out the door leaving a wide eyed Kendall at home alone. My contractions began immediately after my water broke and where 5 minutes apart. This baby wanted to come fast! She arrived on the scene at 8:55 am weighing in at 8 lbs and 11 oz. being 20 inches long. She was perfect!

Bryan and I are Expecting!

We are soo excited. This is a picture of our little Baby GIRL! who is due to arrive on the 27th of march! (which just happens to be the day before my birthday!)

We are so excited for this little one! She was very active while the ultrasound was taken... a cute part was when we watched her little face chew on nothing. She is soo cute.

... we all fall down...

Lauretta, our oldest, fell off her horse on a Laurel's weekend Trail Riding/ Camping trip. She landed on a rock with her head. Life Flight was able to find them and take her to St. Al's in Boise. This happened on the 26th of June. She has a flesh wound on the back of her head where she fell, and the front two lobes of her brain have some hemorrhaging and major bruising. The damage that was done will affect her Personality (Leveling it out... not having any major highs or lows...), Short Term Memory Loss, and a lack of filters... meaning that she will say anything that crosses her mind at any given time no matter who is around. This is not expected to be permanent damage. We have been told that there may be some very minor long term affects, but that a full recovery is expected.

Lauretta was in the ICU about a week, and then spent the rest of her time mainly on the rehab floor learning all the general motor skills again, and building up her strength and endurance. She was able to come home on the 17th of July.

Lauretta is doing so great! She is constantly improving and becoming like her old self a little at a time. Her short term memory loss is not severe, but definitely frustrating when it comes to remembering what people tell her, or what names of common things are. She is trying to recognize when she needs to take a "brain brake" to help her be more focused and less agitated.

When Lauretta's brain gets over stimulated, she is not able to focus very well, and has a tendency to become frustrated and angry. When there are too many things to hear, see, or experience, her brain doesn't quite know how to filter things out and tries to take everything in all at once, giving her a worse headache and these other side affects.

We are excited for the progress and healing that has taken place! She is a miracle. There are soo many blessings that have come into our lives as we are striving to make it through this. The support, strength and love that have flown to us from our Family, Friends, and Church Members is incredibly humbling. Our hearts are full of gratitude. Thank you so much for all that has been said, and done. We have seen the answers of the many prayers that have been given in our behalf.

Lauretta Graduated!

On May 22nd our oldest daughter Lauretta Dawn graduated from Vallivue High School! She has been accepted to Brigham Young University - Idaho on the Winter and Summer Track. She begins school in the beginning of January next year. We are so very proud of her! She Graduated with Honors and has received scholarships which are going to help her in college! Family was able to come and celebrate with us! It was such a great weekend and we had a lot of fun.

I want to say Thank You for everything you've done fore me. Thank you for loving me in my ups and my downs, for supporting me in all that I've done and do. Thank you for attending the big events in my life and cheering me on, that has meant the world to me. Thank you for all that you've given me, I admire and look up to the selflessness you've shown towards me. Your example in my life has been very important and I thank you for that. Dear Moms, Grandmom's, and my Mother figures in my life, Let me just start off by saying...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I miss you all IMMENSELY! and I love you so much! I'll give you an update on how I am doing. Well, I got all the money turned in for Washington D.C. and I am practically peeing my pants with glee for the trip over there! I have been doing absolutely great in school, and currently, I have straight A's! I am really excited for that also because my Dad and I have made a deal. He says that if my report card at the end of the year has all A's, then I can get an Ipod! So I have been working really hard for it. Things at home have been a little rough, but we're coming along just fine. You all have played a Major role in my life and I am more than just grateful for that. I am grateful for all the good times we have shared and the one's that are still yet to come. I love you all so very much and I can't wait to see you!

A Short Trip to the Cabin!

Bryan and I decided spur of the minute to take a day trip up to the cabin. We invited my parents Nathan and Sally Wells to come up with us. It was so great! They were able to come and we had a lot of fun!!! The weather just happened to be amazing and the drive was awesome. We laughed and joked all the way there. After we gave my parents the grand tour we were able to cook up some hamburgers, eat a quick lunch, and then pack up and head right back home. Short and sweet. I will admit that it made me want to stay up there a lot longer than what we did. Time goes by soo incredibly fast when you don't want it too. Everyone needs to have a place like this.

Coloring Eggs!

This year we decided to color our own organic chicken eggs! We were curious to see how it compared with the normal white eggs from the store. You may have guessed... by the time we were done it didn't really matter what they looked like before! We had a lot of fun doing it though! Grandma Hansen had some fun too! It was such a great day. We loved MaryEllen's suggestion and got the girls to do their hair in the Fountain style as Gina did everyday when they were little! They used some drinking glasses to get more of an affect!

Christmas Photo Shoot!

This is really late, but I think it is so worth it! We were at Bryan's Mom's house for a Christmas party when I decided to pull the kids out of the warm house and into the snow to take some pictures! They turned out really well for the most part. Kendall and Luke were riding the four wheelers with their cousins and really didn't want to stop... but they did! So cute.
